The Sprague Project
-- A Genealogical Database of Over 394,000 Individuals --
- Celebrating our seventeenth year on the Internet -

 - Database updated on 19 April 2014 -

On Saturday morning, 20 Sep 2014, we will update the website database. We will be adding over 6,000 new names. The update should begin between 11:00 a.m. and noon (E.D.T.) and last up to one, maybe two hours. During that time, you will be unable to do any searches. 9/19/2014

Please note: Due to the ease that websites can be datamined, scraped, etc., such as with the software aptly named SiteSucker, recently championed in a popular genealogical newsletter, I have determined that it is now necessary to close down this website each evening, from about 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. (E.D.T.). I apologize to one and all for having to do this. I cannot keep an eye at night on those who intend to grab all that we have made available for free since 1996. I am looking for software that will preclude massive downloads and when I obtain it, things will return to what they were and this website will once again be open 24 hours a day.

The Sprague Project search feature is disabled at night to prevent data mining. We apologize that we must do this.
