The Sprague Project

PLEASE BE AWARE: In early August, we discovered a problem that was preventing messages created by the Sprague Website Suggest tab from reaching me. Thus, for over two months, no Suggest submissions were processed. That problem has been resolved and we believe we have recovered all of the effected submissions. However, if you used the Suggest tab between June 6th and August 10th, 2015 and your suggestion does not appear on our website, we ask that you resubmit it.

Due to the ease that websites can be datamined, scraped, etc., such as with the software aptly named SiteSucker, recently championed in a popular genealogical newsletter, I have determined that it is now necessary to close down this website each evening, from about 11:00 p.m. to 7:10 a.m (E.D.T). I apologize to one and all for having to do this. I cannot keep an eye at night on those who intend to grab all that we have made available for free since 1996.

The Sprague Project search feature is disabled at night to prevent data mining. We apologize that we must do this.
