The funeral of Leslie Abbey,15-year-old son of Mrs. Alice Abbey of Granite street,whose death occurred at the state hospital in WaterburyMonday afternoon after a long illness, was held in A. W.Badger & Co.'s mortuary chapel on North Main street thisafternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. W.J.M. Beattie, rectorof the Church of the Good shepherd, was the officiatingclergyman, and those who acted as bearers, are: CliftonBailey, Hugh Bailey, Orale Pompadour and Henry Hall. Interment was made in Hope cemetery. A wide circle offriends was represented in a numerous floral tribute. The deceased is survived by his mother an father and thereare two brothers and three sisters, as follows: Private IraAbbey, who is stationed at Camp Utton and Stanley Abbey ofBarre; Mrs. Clarence Smith of west hill, Mrs. Harold Edsonand Miss Hazel Abbey of this city. The body of Leslie Abbey, aged 15,whose death at the state hospital in Waterbury yesterdayfollowed a long period of failing health, was brought toBarre over the Central Vermont railroad last evening at6:20 o'clock, and taken to the undertaking rooms of A. W.Badger & Co., where funeral services are to be heldWednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, Rev. W.J.M. Beattie,rector of the Church of the Good Shepherd,officiating. Interment will be made in HopeCemetery. The boy was a native of Randolph, althougha few of his earlier years were passed in this city. He was a son of Mrs. Edward Abbey of Maple avenue.
